A cool and overcast day blanketed the Brentwood Diversity Committee’s poster-making event just before the March Against Hate held in Antioch last Sunday. The community’s spirits were so high and positive that even the heavy clouds broke to let some sunshine in.

About 350 marchers from all over East County participated in a March Against Hate last weekend. The procession wound from Antioch City Hall, above, to the fire-damaged Islamic Center of the East Bay mosque, to Antioch High School.
A crowd of more than 350 men, women and children holding homemade posters and banners gathered at Antioch City Hall Sunday afternoon to march against hatred and for peace.
